Meet Dr. Fischer

Dr Joseph Fischer was born & raised in Nebraska, the second of four children. The majority of his upbringing occurred in Humbolt, Nebraska, a small town in the southeast corner. He attended school there and graduated from Humbolt High School in 1985.

Following high school, Dr Fischer attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. He graduated from the UNL College of Dentistry in 1992.

Following a year of practice in Nebraska, Dr Fischer came to Belleville, KS in 1993 to assist Dr William Smith & purchased the practice later that year. He moved the practice to its current location in late 1993. Fischer Family Dentistry is located in the lower level of the Medical Arts Building in Belleville across the street from the Republic County Hospital.

Dr Fischer married local native Andrea (Simms) Fischer in 1997. Andrea grew up in the Republic area & graduated from Belleville High School. Andrea is a Registered Nurse at Republic County Hospital. In 1999, daughter Laurel was welcomed to the family followed by son Alex in 2002.

Dr Fischer and his family (including one cat, two dogs and numerous horses) live on a farm south of Belleville. Dr Fischer's hobbies include raising and showing quarter horses, weight lifting, riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, being a "Husker Fan" and spending time with his family.
